We loaded up on the bus and headed to an international school nearby to enjoy the day's festivities.... of course complete with the biggest pool i've ever seen and massive amounts of food. AND as my simple joy for the day, i got to play a little tennis. 
Happy 4th all!! Just because we had no fireworks, we south asian americans improvised and lit lanterns that are usually lit in thailand for new years...but today and today only they symbolized the freedom of America.... 
We swam, we ate burgers, we drank sweet tea (i know!), played some sports, and sang some american tunes.... what more could make this day better??

How could we ever celebrate the 4th without thai lantern thingys?! Next year (w/ real fireworks probably) just won't be the same. Take a look at BG's face in that pool pic...makes me giggle. Anyway, love ya girl!
