Matt and vasha were so great to take off work/school to drive up to san fransisco with me to visit our friend sophia and visit Golden Gate Sem.

don't worry, we were prepared for our long journey of driving.... we had Dr peppers and snacks and the directions from mapquest and of course good tunes... but the drive was beautiful!

we even passed a few farms with tons of cows and i felt like i was in india again....*tissue* we passed mountains and farms and windmills and vineyards and water and i could keep going but i guess you'll have to come visit me when i move to cali to find out for yourself!

We stopped off in Fresno to have lunch with one of our friends from college - the Vicki!!!

then we popped back in the car to stop off in Madera to pick up my bags that BG's wonderful family took back to the US for me ....

and then continued on our way until we reached : SAN FRANSISCO!!

we went to dinner with sophia and checked out a great indian restuarant called Naan and Curry. (great suggestion amanda!) it was good stuff!!! I know you are probably thinking "why in the world were you eating indian food??" because it is sooooo tastey! that's why.

The next day we went strollin' about downtown san fran....

we got to see the infamous "bush man" he hides behind this bush and jumps out at people who aren't paying attention to watch them jump. it is hilarious!

we saw plenty of street performers trying to earn some tips... never a dull moment!

then we headed down to Pier 39. it has such a great atmosphere! i LOVED it!!

we also got to check out the Sea Cats (formerly known as Sea lions) and it might have been my favorite part. haha!

then the next day we checked out golden gate sem. I loved it too! first off we met the president and chatted for a few minutes, he was very friendly and helpful. i learned that they have just changed the journeyman scholarship from 12 hours to 24 credit hours! whoohoo!! It is a super small campus which is nice and there is always something to do in the area - i just loved it, i can't even explain it. I know that once i stepped foot there, i just had peace that this is where God wants me and everything that was said on the tour just confirmed that this is where i want to be. It just clicked for me. i am just soo excited!!
Sadly, as we got back in the car, we followed along as willie nelson sang, "on the road again"

moral of the story... go to san fran.... the end.
